What car were you driving?

Here’s our best guess. No headrests or seat belts puts us in Dad’s first car a 1968 Mercury Montego.  I think I’m wearing my Architecture Fidoo sweatshirt and definitely have my Longines watch on my wrist which was a convocation present from my parents. So that means it had to be after 1969. The view out the car window is definitely flat Manitoba prairies.

Who Took the photo?

Dad took the photo.

How were you feeling?

When I look closely at my face it appears I have pregnancy mask on my cheeks so that would be around 1974 when I was pregnant with Jill.

When was the photo taken?

We sold the car for $50 to a construction worker in Burlington in 1975. Ergo the photo was taken between 1969 and 1975. However in those days Dad worked for Air Canada so we never drove to Winnipeg from Toronto or Burlington. My best guess is that it was taken some time between 1968 and 1970 and because I’m driving it was probably after we were married in April 1970 and before we moved to Toronto in November of that year.  We would have been 23 or 24.
