Norwegian Caribbean’s Skyward – from Miami to Haiti, Dominican, Puerto Rico, St. John Island and back to Miami. Since Dad worked for Air Canada it cost us only $200 each for the week!

“My credit card was stolen on the plane on the way to Miami by a woman sitting next to me!”
My credit card was stolen on the plane on the way to Miami by a woman sitting next to me! (The plane was virtually empty except for our row, she at the window, me in the middle and Dad on the aisle. When the bill for $500.00 came in late Nov. I was frantic as that was the total amt. we had to spend on Xmas for everyone! Bank took off all charges from my card.
On the ship we won a prize for our “costumes” I wore the dress in the photo and we made Dad long crepe paper fringes around his biceps and below the knees. He wore those with brown trunks. Think we had a few feathers too and looked like Cree/Maoris. When it was our turn to “perform” We got on stage with embarrassment and me giggling. Dad grabbed my shoulder and laughed into the mike saying “Ugh! Me and squaw go to teepee!” That was it and we won a prize in spite of the fact many people brought elaborate costumes in their luggage!
